WEBB STEPS CLOSER TO ENDUROCROSS TITLE
Winning the penultimate round of the AMA EnduroCross Championship, Beta’s Cody Webb moved one step closer to the title.
Heading to Idaho for the second to last round of the EnduroCross series, it was championship leader Cody Webb who came out on top to take the win. This year’s championship chase has been incredibly close and unpredictable with a new winner at nearly every round.
But in Idaho it was Webb who found the consistency needed to win and edge further out in front. Now in the driving seat for the championship showdown this weekend in Ontario, Webb might just become the first ride rider in six years to wrestle an endurocross title away from Taddy Blazusiak.
Knowing nothing less than a victory would do for Blazusiak to keep his title hopes alive, Idaho was yet another tough night for the defending champ. A crash in the first corner of the main event left him playing catch up straight away. He eventually recovered to finish fourth.
After his victory last time out, Taylor Robert – fresh off his strong ride at the ISDE – joined Webb on the podium in second with Colton Haaker in third.
The final round of the EnduroCross Championship takes place in Ontario this weekend.
