USA’S KAILUB RUSSELL CRASHES OUT OF ISDE
Day three of the ISDE marked the end of the road for USA’s Kailub Russell with the KTM rider crashing out of the race.
Russell – outright winner on day one and day two leader of the Enduro 1 class – saw his ISDE hopes come to an end in spectacular style.
An early morning crash saw the KTM injure his knee in the process. Continuing on to remain in the race, he then crashed again on the following enduro test.
Banging himself up pretty good, Russell tried to continue but the damage to his KTM was too great and he was forced to stop.
With Team USA now down to five men in the World Trophy team competition, they can’t afford any further mistakes for the remainder of the week if they wish to keep their aspirations of fighting for victory in the ISDE alive.
