SAGAR CLAIMS OVERALL HONOURS IN CROATIA
KTM’s Tom Sagar claims the overall win at round two of the European Enduro Championship in Croatia.
Putting himself back in the championship fight with overall leader Maurizio Micheulz, Sagar secured the outright victory on day two having placed as runner-up to Micheluz on day one to take the top step of the podium Buzet, Croatia.
Stepping forward as the main challenger to defending champion Micheluz in this year’s title fight, Sagar now puts him within eight points of Micheluz in the championship standings.
Joining them on the podium, Rannar Uusna ended his weekend third overall.
While placing second to Sagar in the overall standings, Micheluz still enjoyed a healthy double win the Senior E1 class on his Husqvarna.
Sagar added to his successful weekend by winning both days of the Senior E2. Radek Toman (Husqvarna) and Miroslav Sevela (TM) took a win a piece in the Senior E3 class.
In the Junior E1 it was a double win for Nicolas Pellegrinelli as Joe Wootton took the top step of the podium in the Junior E2/3 category.
Lorenzo Macoritto and Mirko Spandere shared top honours in the Junior U20 class.
In the Veteran category Werner Muller remains undefeated having won both days in Croatia while Sanna Karkkainen enjoyed a maximum point haul in the Women’s class.
The European Enduro Championship continues with round three in Finland on August 8/9.
