RIEMANN’S 12,000KM ADVENTURE-READY KTM 500 EXC
Adam Riemann has tricked out his new KTM 500 EXC as he preps for his latest crazy 12,000km long Motonomad adventure…
In less than a month’s time Aussie filmmaker Adam Riemann will ride this 2015 KTM 500 EXC on a 12,000km journey across Central Asia to capture footage for new Motonomad II film.
He’s calling it “the most luxurious 500 EXC on the planet” and it will want to be if it’s to become his home for a couple of weeks!
Based on a standard KTM 500 EXC, the bike that’ll power Adam through this long adventure features a larger fuel tank, some well-fixed luggage on the back and a rally-style handmade cockpit for protection in high speeds.
It might be hard to associate this pure racing machine with any kind of luxuriousness, but this doesn’t change the fact that the trip’s promising to be epic.
In a previous similar venture in 2013, Adam and friend Mark Portbury rode two fairly standard 500 EXCs from Mattighofen to the Pyramids in Egypt. As founder of Motologyfilms, Adam went on to produce the original 90-minute Motonomad film out of this journey.
Talking about this new expedition, Adam Riemann confirms: “In terms of time and money, I’ve already invested triple that of the original film, for the simple fact I intend to seek a more creative story, traverse the most remote terrain, capture truly epic scenes, and, better represent the spirit of Motonomad.”
Adam learned a lot from previous experience and spent a serious amount of time preparing the details of this next trip. The plan is that he along with two other riders on similar bikes will be independent and totally unassisted during the long trip in the heart of Asia.
Best of luck guys, looking forward to seeing the finished masterpiece…
