RAD DAD READY FOR AMA ENDURO ROUND THREE
Kailub Russell looks to extend points lead at the FMF Rad Dad Enduro
After a pair of second place finishes at the first two rounds of the championship, Kailub Russell will be going for his first-ever win in the Kenda AMA National Enduro Series this weekend in West Point, Tennessee, hoping to extend his lead in the series point standings, which already stands at seven points.
The FMF/KTM rider sits atop the point standings over last year’s national champion Andrew DeLong (Husqvarna) and 2012 series champ Steward Baylor (FLY/ KTM).
Interestingly enough, both DeLong and Baylor are on the rebound from broken collarbones.
Behind these top three top contenders, a powerhouse of hopefuls is waiting in line to take hold of the podium at the Rad Dad Enduro, including Yamaha’s Brad Bakken (winner of last year’s Virginia round), four-time champ and KTM-mounted Russell Bobbitt, and Beta USA’s Cory Buttrick, himself a two-time event winner.
Fighting hard for a podium spot will be Australian transplants Josh Strang (Husqvarna) and Daniel Milner (Yamaha).
Also making his return to the series will be last year’s number two rider, Beta’s Jesse Groemm, after missing the first few rounds due to a concussion.
In addition, Rockstar Energy Motocross Star Ryan Sipes (Husqvarna) will make his first appearance in the Kenda AMA National Enduro Series.
