MINDLESS THUGS DESTROY MIKA AHOLA MONUMENT
A commemorative plaque to celebrate Mika Ahola was recently destroyed by thugs – but the reaction by local trail riders is fantastic.
In January 2013 a group of Italian trail riders decided to honour Mika Ahola’s legacy by naming one of their favourite riding spots after him.
Returning last week to remember his three-year anniversary they were horrified to find that the plaque they had mounted to a boulder was removed and the words “NO MOTO” sprayed painted on instead.
Determined to not lower themselves to the mindless thugs standards they are fighting back in the best possible way.
By mounting a new plaque. And if that one gets attacked they’ll make another one.
With an abundance of disused licence plates at their disposal, they’ve got plenty of spares – and patience – to not get beaten down.
Good work guys!
