Meo Breaks Thumb In Test Session
Reports of a broken thumb for Antoine Meo are beginning to filter through the EWC GP of Finland in Heinola.
Meo, the current lead of Enduro 2 class, broke his left thumb in a crash when testing in Finland earlier in the week.
In a comment on the EWC Facebook channel the KTM rider remarked…
“During the testing, I slipped on a rock and crashed hard… Then I went directly to hospital and the diagnosis was a broken left thumb! But I’ll be racing this weekend, no matter what happens!”
With the four-time world champion facing back-to-back weekends of competition in Finland and then Sweden, it’s going to be a tough time in the saddle for Meo.
The first half of the 2014 EWC season has been a weird one for injuries, first Alex Salvini suffered a broken thumb and is now overcoming a broken collarbone sustained at the GP of Greece while Johnny Aubert also started off the year with a troubled arm.
In the Enduro 3 category championship leader Ivan Cervantes has also been under the surgeons knife since Greece for an injured ankle.
