KORNEL NEMETH WINS KINGS OF XTREME

Kornel Nemeth proved the rider to beat at the Kings of Xtreme Enduro Cross in Leipzeig, Germany…

Beating off a stacked entry list, Nemeth put his KTM on the top step of the podium by taking two heat race wins and finishing second in the other heat to claim the overall win.

As part of the weekend long Kings of Xtreme festival in Leipzeig, the supercross track from Saturday’s racing was remoulded into an endurocross one for Sunday.

Winner of the event in 2014, Nemeth was in no mood to mess about this time around. Hot out of the traps he won the first heat. Going on to place second and then win again in the final heat, Nemeth walked away with the top prize.

Making his debut with Gas Gas, Mike Hartmann was the closest to Nemeth. Second behind him in heat one he backed it up with fourth and third to secure the runner-up result.

Burning the midnight oil by driving up from Ales Trem in France, Wade Young made the start in Leipzig. Despite two shaky results, he pulled thorugh to win heat two and grab the third and final step of the podium.

In the battle for the remainder of the top five, Edward Hubner edged out Blake Gutzeit – also at Ales Trem – for fourth.
