JARVIS WINS HIS THIRD WILDWOOD EXTREME
Bel-Ray Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Graham Jarvis made the long trip to Australia well worthwhile by winning his third Wildwood Rock Extreme Enduro
Jarvis – who won the inaugural event in 2010 and then backed that up with victory in last year’s race – won this year’s Bulk Nutrients Wildwood Rock Extreme from Ben Hemingway and Daniel Sanders.
Regarded as the toughest course in the five-year history of the event, the fifth edition of Wildwood saw the inclusion of several new hill climbs including the formidable ‘Rock Staircase”.
Making his winning intentions known from the outset, Jarvis immediately set the pace in the Prologue to claim the top spot leading into the main event.

On race day – and in front of over 2000 spectators – Jarvis blitzed his way around the course. Setting the fastest lap of the race 39 seconds quicker than his nearest rivals, the Husqvarna rider secured a comfortable margin of victory by becoming the only rider to complete eight laps of the technically demanding course.
Graham Jarvis: “It’s been a pretty incredible Wildwood 2014 for me and definitely one of the hardest events I’ve done here. There were a lot more rocks to deal with and the heat added to the difficulty level. It was really hot so during those last few laps I was really struggling. This event is definitely right up there with the top events in Europe. There’s always good support here with the big crowd and everyone cheering you on so it’s definitely good to come here and win.”
