IRWIN & SCOTT SET FOR GLENARM ENDUROCROSS

Two of Northern Ireland’s leading off road riders Graeme Irwin and Jordan Scott, will go head to head at the third annual, HTM Off Road EnduroCross in Glenarm, Thursday July 23.

The event which forms part of the popular Dalriada Festival Week will get underway from 7pm with these two expected to put on a spectacular show.

Although both men race off road competitively on the British stage, Irwin and Scott race in two different disciplines. Irwin, who is from Carrickfergus, races in the British Motocross Championship for Heads & All Threads Suzuki while Scott raced in the British Enduro Championship with HTM Off Road Husqvarna.

Enduro racing goes hand in hand with EnduroCross and on paper would give Scott the advantage but on the other hand, Irwin is a man in form following an impressive third overall finish in the recent British Championship round at Foxhill on Sunday.

Plus with Jordan Scott still recovering after an injury sustained earlier in the season, Irwin will fancy his chances of challenging the Newtownards man.

Aside from Irwin and Scott there are plenty of other riders that will be looking to cause an upset in the premier class, including Straid’s Chris Brown. Brown comes with a strong trials background and adds yet another discipline to the mix!

An action packed night of racing is scheduled with over thirty other riders set to battle it out across the MTA backed, Clubman and SuperVET classes. With on-site catering, facilities and a tremendous banked spectator area viewing most of the obstacle packed circuit, the event is one for all the family this Thursday evening.

Adult spectator admission is priced at just £5.00 (Kids U16 Free Admission) with parking available in the adjacent Glenarm town centre car parks and further information, including directions can be found on www.carrickfergusmcc.co.uk and on social media.
