Erzberg – Prologue Day Two
Bikes, people, rain and Hard Enduro – this is Erzbergrodeo 2014. Day three at the Iron Giant has been busy, busy, busy.
Despite the murky, wet weather riders gathered early to begin day two of the Iron Road Prologue. And even though conditions were not ideal to better their time from the previous time everyone was keen to give it a go.
Wearing the #1 plate, Graham Jarvis led them off and within half an hour all the leading Pro riders were ticked off the 1800-rider list expected to give the Prologue a lash.
Weather wise rain clouds are briefly interrupted by a ray of sunshine that offers a glimmer of hope that the main event will be dry.
The majority of riders have given the course one last walk and they all are of the same opinion – it’s gonna be hard.
Tyre choice is on a lot of people’s mind for the Red Bull Hare Scramble. Top pick is Golden Tyre. Graham Jarvis, Jonny Walker, Andreas Lettenbichler and Alfredo Gomez are running the super soft 216X 140 rear with the 120X mousse.
In case your wondering the X mousse is hand prepped – cut and drilled to offer extra grip. On the front is the 216AA 90/100 tyre.
So that’s about it for day three. Time to join the beer tent!
