ERBERGRODEO 2015 IS GO!
The 21st edition of the ErzbergRodeo has started with Austria’s Ossi Reisinger winning the Rocket Ride…
The serious business of qualifying for the Red Bull Hare Scramble starts today but yesterday it was Ossi Reisinger, Brad Williams and Jimmy Verburgh who topped the Rocket Ride.
300 riders from 23 nations and four continents competed at the Erzbergrodeo’s opener on race day one – the KÄRCHER Rocket Ride. The uphill-race at the bottom of Erzberg served a gnarly and very steep four-story racetrack, which was prolonged for the 2015 edition.
After two qualifying heats during the day, only the 48 fastest riders were allowed to race the Superfinals in the evening. Austrian speed expert Ossi Reisinger celebrated his third triumph in the history of the Kärcher Rocket Ride, followed by 17-years old Welshman Brad Williams, who crowned his first ever visit at the Erzbergrodeo with an impressive podium finish.
Belgian Freestyle-MX legend Jimmy Verburgh took a well earned third place, even though he had to deal with a flat front tire. Thousands of enthusiastic spectators alongside the selective racetrack could witness an action-loaded show, as even experienced motorcycle off road riders had serious problems with the long and impressively steep uphills.
